Flying pics with a GoPro on a stick

Wilhelm is back online after his paint job and flat tyre, and happily Lee’s work got cancelled for today, so we had a sunny day to ourselves. We went up in Wilhelm and tried out our latest GoPro gadget: an extending arm upon which one can mount the camera and get awesome ‘self-portraits’ in a lot more style than if you just hold out your arm. We put the camera out of the window and the pics below were the results. As you can see, I’m flying the plane and operating the camera via Lee’s iPhone at the same time, while Lee battled to keep hold of the stick! Also worthy of note: I flew a motorglider in a dress for the first time today. It can be done! But it was rather windy today, so getting in and out was interesting (hopefully there were no spotters with long-range camera lenses!)!
