Bidford Wings and Wheels 2014

We popped into Bidford Gliding Club this morning for the annual Wings and Wheels event, a little get-together of vintage car owners with a few people flying in with Tiger Moths and such like. We had been planning to fly in, but two things scuppered our plans: firstly, being an English Bank Holiday Monday, it was raining; and, more importantly, Wilhelm was still derigged and being painted (we went to see him afterwards and he’s looking fantastic!). So we made the journey by road instead. The weather wasn’t great so I didn’t take many photos, but I thought I’d share the ones I did take, as there were some interesting vehicles!

There was a chap doing aerobatics not long after we arrived.

I loved all these old military vehicles/Land Rovers.

This car looked like it should have belonged to Toad of Toad Hall. I love the expression on the face of the guy in the background, who’s looking up at a passing aerotow.

Not very great pics I’m afraid, but just a reminder that I’m still here – I have loads of posts planned, just no time to write them! Back again soon.
