Scenes from Borough Market, London
Just a quick post from me today. Having visited the Sky Garden with my friend last month, we walked across London Bridge into Southwark and found Borough Market tucked beneath the bridge, right alongside Southwark Cathedral. The market – actually more like a collection of small shops – has allegedly been in existence since 1014, if not before, though the buildings in their current form are from the 1850s-60s. This post doesn’t really need much of a commentary; I just wanted to share some of the photos I took as we ambled around in search of cake and free samples. It’s another thing to tick off my London bucket list, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something to do that isn’t a museum!
