Rebranding my business

I’m very pleased to share with you the exciting news that I’ve just launched my new professional website, promoting my work as a freelance copywriter. It’s the product of months of work, so do click the photo below and take a look!

As you know, I don’t normally write work-related stuff on here, but as this is part of my 30 Before 30 challenge I’m making an exception. The challenge was to rebrand my business, so I’ve left it until now because I knew I’d be changing my name when we got married. It seemed a good opportunity to rebrand, and hopefully it will also help me get used to my new name!

When I say ‘rebrand’, I’m just changing the face of my business, i.e. my professional website, because the old one was basically adapted from a blog, and didn’t look very professional. Having been freelance for two years now, I felt it was time to give my online presence a bit of a facelift. I’ve built the new one with a sleek WordPress theme and it’s self-hosted, which means I have more control over it than the old site. The way I operate in a business sense is exactly the same – I just have a smarter site that shows off my experience and credentials to better effect.

I will of course continue to write about non-work things on this blog, so nothing’s changing on that front either! I’m about half way through my list of 30 things to do before I’m 30 now, with plenty more in progress, so I’m doing fairly well, with just over four months remaining.

Anyway, thanks for bearing with me on a work-related post. Normal service will be resumed in my next posts, when I’ll be sharing a seasonal recipe and writing about wine tasting in sunny Paso Robles, California.
